Freelance – December – Present day.

I decided to move back into the freelance world to and engage with new clients and hopefully embark on some interesting projects, not just as an Animator

but also as an Illustrator. I’m looking forward to the new relationships and challenges ahead.

Smoke & Mirrors: August 2013 – November 2016

For just just over 3 years working as a Motion Graphics Designer at Smoke & Mirrors. They’re a production house dealing mainly in TVCs,

Digital / online advertising and Pitch work / concept design.

I work with a group of 8 other designers/animator/compositors in The Studio, which has been created to handle more creative

and technical projects.

Clients such as MBNA. Master Card, Cannon, Aviva, Sony, Nike, TalkTalk and MTV are a few of projects I’ve had the opportunity to work on.

ITV / Al Jazeera: Sept 2011 – June 2013

I worked as Motion Designer producing all the information graphics for

ITV and Al Jazeera. I work on most of the graphical content for the shows i.e. Maps, Match idents, promos, stats, background content, monitor content.

I spend most of my time working on content for Al Jazeera, as it’s very high turn around with shows on 5-6 times a week.

Working on multiple leagues (Serie A, La Liga, Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup) means I have to continuously come up with new ideas to keep the shows content looking bespoke to its relevant subject matter. This was especially important during

Euro 2012 and the 2012 Olympics, as I had make content to suit and comply with their brand guidelines whilst incorporating into the Al Jazeera package.

Duke and Earl Graphic Designer: Feb 2009 – June 2011

I was hired as a full time Designer at Duke&Earl in early 2009 after working freelance for two months. There I learnt to manage multiple projects and improve my software skills.

While working at Duke&Earl I had the opportunity to art direct and manage major projects such as the ESPN FA Cup idents.

I worked on a lot of sponsorship commercials and promotional videos for such clients as AKQA, Nike, CBS, Fiat, Bing, Sky, and Intel. This also led design for web including Web banners, leaderboards and promo videos.

Working in large teams has meant I have learnt to stretch my skills into the design

and overall production. This has led to me to work along side Shake and Nuke compositors and 3D designers.

Working at Duke&Earl taught me how to work under pressure and cope with tight deadlines.

About me

Besides my design interests I’m a keen guitar player. I’ve played at various Festivals such as V Festival and other bar/clubs such as Roundhouse, Jazz Café and some small local pubs.

I don’t play as much, but I’ve now tied together my music and design interests with a small project call the ‘Garden Gnome Sessions’. This consists of filming new unsigned talent with the hopes of promoting their name using today’s social media.

I also am involved with a small charity called ‘Football Gambia’.

I design the promotional material for their big trips around West Africa and some of their online content.
